A woman whose adult son had just died stopped to talk with Mary on the sidewalk as she prayed.
Years ago, when she was pregnant with him, her boyfriend urged her to get an abortion. She refused. He disappeared, and she raised her son on her own.
"Now, while in mourning, she spoke how blessed she was to have made the right decision and got to spend all those years with him," wrote Mary from the Niagara Falls vigil.
Valladolid, Spain
Last year, a mother in Valladolid saw 40 Days for Life volunteers praying outside the abortion facility. She had the abortion anyway.
Recently, she came back to abort her fourth child.
This time, however, she accepted the offer of help--and even broke down sobbing over last year's abortion. The center referred her to a post-abortion healing program.
"She left feeling comforted and at peace, returning to her hometown determined to continue with the pregnancy," wrote Luis, who leads the Valladolid team. And she also left with a referral to a post-abortion healing program.
