Hilda was just about to leave her prayer shift when she met a woman arriving at Planned Parenthood for a pre-operative appointment.
The expectant mother had a second-trimester abortion scheduled for the following day.
An abortion facility staffer saw the woman talking with Hilda and came out to intercept her. Instead, the mom accepted Hilda's invitation to visit a local pregnancy center.
Planned Parenthood still wasn't ready to give up and called to confirm her appointment. Instead, she canceled it.
"I'm going to have my baby," she said with a smile.
She also prayed with Hilda and acknowledged that she wants to improve her relationship with God.
"I offered to help her in any way she might need," Hilda said.
Kerala, India
India is not a traditionally Christian country. But from Thomas the Apostle to Mother Teresa, it's a country where Christians have had a big impact.
They continue to win souls for Christ by hosting a 40 Days for Life vigil at a local hospital.
"In India, there [are no] abortion clinics," wrote Anson, the Kerala 40 Days for Life leader. "We found [a] particular hospital performs abortions. ... We will be [there]."
They were overjoyed at seeing the star.
