Cleveland, Ohio
A mom from the neighborhood stopped by the Cleveland vigil with a special guest: her beautiful baby, sound asleep in the car!
40 Days for Life volunteers already knew the woman, because they had previously helped her with baby clothes and diapers. The campaign keeps backpacks filled with gifts for both moms and babies as well as information on pregnancy resources on site.
That same day, Dan and his prayer partner had the chance to share those gifts with a couple leaving the abortion facility. "Would you like one of these backpacks--a free gift for expectant moms?" the vigil participants asked.
"Sure, how kind," the couple answered. "We are going to need this."
They chose life!
Anchorage, Alaska
Nearly 20 teens in Anchorage, Alaska, came from a soccer game to pray for an end to abortion!
Members of the Students for Life chapter at Holy Rosary Academy invited friends to join them for an hour of prayer at the vigil.
"Our mere presence on the sidewalk changes the minds of mothers and fathers headed into abortion facilities," said Mary, the local 40 Days for Life leader. "This gives them time to...consider life-giving alternatives to abortion. Peaceful public witness can also awaken the consciences of those driving by."
